He tries his best and you will know when he is happy or when he knows that it wasn’t his best.. because even if you are happy with it he knows he could have done better. He is not one you need to show the arena, just run in there and let him work! He has never run past a barrel and is not one to hit a barrel, he does get really close to them! I don’t pattern him, he doesn’t need it, but to get him in shape and get air in his lungs I do run him at home once in awhile. He runs the same pattern everytime"

Midnight is a great guy... polite & well mannered.  never taken a lame step, easy keeper & winters well in Wyoming.  not picky about his food, we feed an alfalfa/grass mix hay & straight whole oats.  top dress the grain with the oil that Marlene McRae uses, think she sells it on her web site too.  This horse has done 4-H, does well in Reining and Western Riding, Equitation too, a bit too snappy to place well in pleasure, although last year placed third.  He will do well in showmanship, trail and programmed ride.  He is easy to clip and bathe, shoe etc.  Kids load him up easily.  Been a queen horse, princess horse & done parades every year that we have had him.  Has done drill team w/riders &  nonriders, little kids on him as well. He has done contest, ribbon race, keyhole, fun day stuff and is always well behaved.  He will lay down 2 or 3 barrel patterns in a row within a few 10ths of each other, sometimes closer.  At last year’s Harvest Fest Target Race, NBHA he won the buckle and all three runs were within hundredths of each other. He has won at Greybull Days of 49 Rodeo, big open pattern, lousy ground, beat some amazing pro women.  He rides indoors or out, and walks or runs in & out of arena, your choice.  You can ride him bareback, he loves to ride trail. Works cows, doesn’t cut. Awesome pole horse, you ride him with your legs, push him  with your legs and seat, stay gentle in his mouth, but guide with your hands.   Regularly clocked 21’s for my daughter. Has High School Rodeoed and Junior Rodeoed, as well as plenty of Jackpots.  Has been trained for goats and works great." I am completely comfortable with my daughter grabbing him up and riding him out, saddled or not, bridle or halter, on the BLM behind our house alone, he will take care of her".  Good black feet, good leg bone, solid boy.  You can see in his pictures, he likes a looser rein, in these he is riding around the house, at a high school rodeo and at the Bighorn County Fair – he has also won money there, and won Grand four years in a row in barrels and poles.
